Arcanyst is an RPG in which the player controls three mechanical entities. There are no pre-defined models, and the player is free to equip them with modules to modify their combat gameplay.

I worked on this project with three other game design students, three game art students, and five programming students.
Working conditions
Group project with eleven other students.
Our project
The principle of the game is to allow the player to assign combat skills to their three characters in order to implement the strategies of their choice. Some skills are passive, while others are active. They are all divided into categories, called ‘types’, each favoring a particular gameplay. The game alternates between exploration and turn-based combat, using a speed and initiative system similar to Grandia II.
