Party Rex
Party Rex is a run n gun game in which the player takes on the role of a dinosaur furious at having his presents stolen at a fancy dress party!
I worked on this project with 2 other game design students, 3 programming students and 5 game art students.
Working conditions
Group project lasting about two months. The game design students (including myself) only worked on the level design for their own level. The game design programming students were in charge of the game design for this game.
Our project
For this first collaboration with the game artists, we decided to go for something fun, with pixel art direction and lots of colour. Our character has four different weapons: an electric rifle, a rocket launcher, a flame thrower and a submachine gun. He has the ability to move, shoot and jump, as well as perform a ground charge that breaks certain platforms and does damage to enemies.
