Messy Robbery is a couch game in which two pairs of players compete to bring crazy treasures back to their camps.

This game is my final year project , and I am pleased to have pitched it. I worked on it with eleven other students, mostly working remotely.

Working conditions

Final year project carried out in a group (12 students) during my final year at Isart Digital. The majority of the production was done remotely but with a few days in person each month. This type of project usually benefits from the presence of a student producer but this was not the case for us, which is why, as the person behind the concept, I volunteered to fill this role alongside my work as a game and level designer. The production was divided into rendering milestones imposed by the Isart teaching team: Concept, 3C, Alpha, Beta and then Gold milestones. These steps helped us to properly plan our objectives and deadlines to deliver the final game on time.

Our project

"On an alien planet, two teams of aliens face off in a human curiosity shop, trying to bring as much treasure as possible back to their respective camps. Create chaos: anything goes to achieve your goals!"

For my final project, along with about fifty other students, I decided to pitch the teaching staff. The idea behind the game was to take the stealth genre and turn it on its head by creating noise and a joyful mess to distract the guards and attract them to the opposing team. My proposal was selected by my professors, so I created a team of twelve students to join me on the project: five programmers, one sound designer, two game and level designers, and three game artists.
